Photo Dork Goes Braap Braapping
Last week was a good riding week for me! First of all, we got a good amount of rain for the first time all season. Second, I haven’t been riding enough lately with work and other stuff. What else can you do the day after it rains except get off work and go ride! So , I dusted off my bike and headed out to Beaumont on Wednesday with friends Larry Badgwell, Matt Chapman from etnies, and Brit Adude and Mark Moss of ArsenalMX.com. The dirt was as good as it’s ever been out there, and we took full advantage of the chocolate cake dirt and clear skys by climbing every hill in sight and finding some crazy goat trails that even goats would be scared of.
So, Saturday came along and I get a call first thing in the morning, “Get up! We’re going to the Desert! (click)”. Hell, you don’t have to tell me twice! I was awake, loaded up and on my way to Ocotillo Wells with my friends Steve Anderson and Josh Abbott in no time flat. We found some awesome trails and plenty of crazy-ass cliff climbs that took up most of the day; but we did find time to pioneer a few new hits out in the middle of nowhere. Pictured is me throwin’ a mean one-legger off one of those fresh new lines. Notice the signature No Fear “CRAP” jersey! haha. Thanks to Steve for taking the shots of me and breaking in my new 70-200 f/2.8. There are a couple more shots on my Flickr page.
