I signed up for Yahoo! Publisher and finally got my login a couple days ago. Now you might notice some not-so-targeted Yahoo! ads in the sidebar and single pages (if you click the blog title). Don’t be shy, click ‘em and make me a couple cents (I hear mortgage rates are at 40-Year lows!). At first I wasn’t sure if I wanted to run ads, but I figure why the hell not?

It just so happens today I noticed that Racer X now has ads by Google… kinda weird seeing a big magazine web site with Google ads, don’t ya think? I used to have Google ads, but my roommate kept clicking on them, thinking it would help me out, and Google kicked me out of the club! So far I like the Yahoo! Publisher program better anyways. Google can suck it!

Check out the Feb. ‘07 issue of The Skateboard Mag to see my first ever published skate photos. I’m pretty pumped about this, even if they did misspell my name (Ryan Copley?) in the byline (is it a byline for photogs?). Last week was the etnies Holiday Festival, where some needy kids came by the etnies Skatepark to hang with Santa, some pro skaters, and take home some free shoes. It was a cool deal. Seeing as I how my office is walking distance from the park, I cruised down to shoot some photos of the dudes skating. Watching guys like Ronnie Creager and Ryan Sheckler session the park is pretty bad-ass and makes me realize how bad I suck at everything! It’s kinda like watching Carmichael live at an Outdoor National or Twitch at Ocotillo Wells… amazing.

I just added a few new things to the Tear Sheet gallery of random shit that I’ve done…Yokohama poster, SCORE race program ads, and a couple new etnies ads.

A couple laps into the main event at the Jeremy McGrath Invitational, I was surprised to see Josh Grant bust out “The Bird” after passing some slower 450F riders that got a better start against his 250F. I don’t care what anyone says (blah blah blah, disrespectful, bad for the sport, immature, blah), I think that’s punk rock! The kid isn’t scared to race hard, bang bars (ie. his head-to-head race vs. Vuillemin), and even throw the one finger salute when necessary…you gotta respect that! Josh is definitely one of my favorite riders coming up! Keep it up.

…since I’ve updated this site! Not really sure why seeing as I should have plenty to “blog” about since I’ve had tons of stuff going on lately. Ya, I suck! Let me gather my thoughts and figure out what I want to do with this site, but in the meantime check out the photo gallery and the extremely outdated wallpapers.
